Today, Gaming plays a significant role
in the computer industry and is developing its demand day by day. "Fuegosticka"
was an opportunity for youth to get a flavor of advanced computer games and
be knowledgeable on latest technologies that are being used all over the
world.
Approximately, 100 local technical undergraduates, in groups of
five members, were the target crowd. Delegates were trained on newest game
development platforms, how to pitch an idea and how to market the final product by
the industry experts. According
to that, groups were asked to develop their own mobile game application and finally
the best application was selected and presented to the industry.
15 interns from 5 different countries, Egypt, India, Brazil,
Hong Kong and China acted as mentors and followed up on the group's progress in
order to assist them in enhancing their development and marketing skills. Furthermore,
having foreign interns throughout the event added the colours of universal
harmony while being an effort to expose Sri Lankan youth to
the international community.
