My Best 35 Days in Sri Lanka ......... Cindy , from China
This summer holiday ,i went to SL to joined a project on Pre-school teaching in Galle
through AIESEC,an international students organization. We have 6 Chinese girls in
this project ,6 people are divided into 3 groups .Each 2 day ,we 2 as a group go to
different pre-school . In the pre-school, we teach children paper-cutting ,like how to
make a star ,singing ,drawing and so on .Children in the pre-school are very cute and
clever ,i enjoy the every moment with them .And teachers there are also very kind and
nice ,they use imaginative and useful methods to teach children. They treat us with
tasty meals . Our working time is in the morning ,after finish it ,we can arrange our
own time .At weekends ,sometimes teachers will invite us to go for a holiday with
their family .We all had a wonderful time with them .Besides these ,we even attend a
Global Village Day organized by Colombo South LC .It is about cultural sharing. On
the global village day ,we Chinese girls wear traditional dresses and prepare some
performance.I must say the ICX VP Thushan of Colombo South is a very responsible
person .Without him, we cannot have such a wonderful experience .We also met lots
of nice people during our stay in Sl. It is my great luck to meet you all here .Wish one
day i can come back again .
I LOVE LANKA , NEVER AWAY.

Earth Hour
This
is the first time AIESEC Colombo South was able to initiate a big scale
project . In this project 22 interns from different cultural
backgrounds got together at the same platform . This project was mainly
focused on doing awareness about the Earth Hour 2012. Apart from that
the interns were supposed to do an energy audit in Expo Lanka group of
companies .
Managing 22 interns at the same time was a difficult task for the LC .
But finally we were able to do the project with great success giving the
interns and CS members an intense experience . Every individual CS
AIESECer has a nice story with the EPs . There were some issues but at
the end all were happy about what they gained.
It was Rodrigo and Gustavo the first two EP s who arrived for the project . It was a great to watch they describing the importance of Earth hour to some children .
Then came Chirag and so on the traffic started to grow . Managing
airport pickups for these interns was a good learning experience.
Somehow they tried their best to make this project a success . It was
great mutual experience for CS AIESECers and the interns .
Apart from this the sessions we did on schools about environment
sustainability was a great success and that was a great learning
experience for all the Organizing committee members who have
done immense work in spite of the heavy work load in university .

First Journey to Trincomalee
This is where we began our journey .In this journey we realized how important is to do something with an impact to the society . They came running towards the camera as it is not a usual thing to see undergraduates from universities visit their school often.
In this journey we visited 10 under privileged schools in Trincomalee area and put our first foundation for the project. It was really hard thing to leave this children alone. Still love the warm welcome we received in schools .
